Healthcare

Overview

In this this day and age, Healthcare extends beyond buildings and equipment; it’s about establishing settings that facilitate efficient clinical care, medical education, and long-term system sustainability. The planning and operation of medical colleges, hospitals, specialty centres, and public health infrastructure that adapt to changing care models and expanding population demands are all included in the healthcare sector.
Nippon Koei India Pvt. Ltd. (NKI) views healthcare as an integrated system that requires collaboration between infrastructure, engineering, technology, and human capability. As a member of the ID&E Group, NKI leverages decades of global experience to assist healthcare organizations in creating facilities that are operational, compliant, and flexible throughout their whole lifecycle. Our work focuses on coordinating infrastructure planning with future expansion needs, regulatory requirements, and service delivery goals.
Our approach aligns healthcare infrastructure with population health needs, medical education objectives, regulatory frameworks, and long-term operational sustainability, ensuring that facilities are adaptable to changing clinical practices and advancing medical technologies.

Our Services in the Healthcare Sector

NKI supports clients from early-stage planning through implementation and operational readiness by offering consulting services throughout the entire lifecycle of healthcare projects.

We help clients comprehend current healthcare systems, spot weaknesses, and develop specific improvement plans. This covers service planning, SAPROF and feasibility studies, and long-term development plans for medical schools, nursing schools, and hospitals.

With careful consideration for functional zoning, staff and patient mobility, and phased development, our team plans hospitals and campuses for both new and existing facilities. With a focus on safety, infection control, and effective clinical workflows, design services encompass architecture, structural engineering, MEP, HVAC, medical gases, ICT, and utilities.

We also provide medical equipment planning and advisory services, including budgeting, technical specifications, procurement support, and installation coordination. During project execution, NKI offers project management and construction supervision services to help clients maintain quality, timelines, and compliance.

In addition to physical infrastructure, we support healthcare institutions through soft components such as hospital management systems, capacity building, training, and digital tools including project monitoring and information systems. This integrated approach enables healthcare facilities to operate effectively and remain resilient as clinical and technological requirements evolve.
